One More Chord

I won't have a big post this week as I've actually been working on pages for you.  I'd like to draw
your attention to the links on the left:

I've put a bunch of songs with video links and given some short instructions on how you can play with those songs as some of them require capos to play with the video.  I hope you enjoy practicing to those.


I want to show you one more chord.  Its called A minor and I have 3 variations of it (I like this chord too)

New Strumming Pattern and Alternative Chords I've got a new strumming pattern for you this week.  It goes along with 2 songs I've already given you. These songs are: How He Loves Who You Say I Am Here's a link a soft printable copy of this sheet Generally, most worship songs have beats that can be counted in and/or divided by 4 beats (4/4 time signature). The first strumming pattern we discussed goes with those kinds of songs. For review it looks like this: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 A A A A A A Accents (hard strums) are on counts 1, 4, and 7. There are however, a number of songs where the beats can be divided by 3 (in 6/8 time signature). Hi Everyone, Welcome to the Worship Guitar Small Group Blog! I thought that since we'll playing songs and learning about guitar and a bit of music theory and things, it might be handy to have everything available for you on the web - so here we are! Strumming (take II)

Strumming Reviewing what we’ve talked about regarding strumming so far (which really hasn’t been much), it looked like this: Simple strumming for most songs also goes to a count of eight down-strokes/strums.
